Not sure if I posted it in the right category
After seeing the sneak peek in issue 2, I just had to try and paint it. So far I have loved issue 1 + 2, Greg Pak and Jae Lee are doing a great job so far.
I was aiming to have it finished by the end of the week(when it first came out last month) but that didn't happen, oh well.
Yup, I did post an unfinished version of it on my Tumblr, but that was because I thought I would not be able to finish it, lost all hope, when I realized how much metal I had to paint, so many and so complicated/frustrating. Probably why it took me so long to have it finished, but I have to say it turned out ok in the end, still not as satisfied as I would want to be, but I guess that's with any work from the artists or colourist point of view, but alas I shall be satisfied with how it came out, for now. I ruined the faces didn't I
I tried to incorporate the shine and slight glimmer of light that might appear on the metallic surface, as well as its reflective property(that didn't work). At first I was hoping to go with a worn out look for the metal, to give the impression of her battles reflected on her accessory, but then it is probably laced with magic in some form or way, so instead I went with the f***ing shiny look instead.
So what do you guys thinkTips to improve this are welcometwitter: @ryms94
